Our most important mission is to give you a wonderful experience in Skagen.

THE HISTORY ABOUT BRØNDUMS HOTEL
Brøndums Hotel was originally a merchant's house, which in 1859 was expanded with a few rooms for rent. And although the hotel's owner, Degn Brøndum, was a modest gentleman, he was very ambitious with the hotel. In fact, the hotel was expanded countless times, ensuring that it transformed from a merchant's farm into one of Denmark's largest and best-known hotels.

One of Degn Brøndum's four siblings, Anna Brøndum, was an artist. She married into the surname Ancher and was part of the artist colony that came to Skagen in the 1870s.
Over time, Brøndums Hotel has hosted several great Danish cultural figures such as Georg Brandes, Carl Nielsen, Marie and P.S. Krøyer, Holger Drachmann and Anna and Michael Ancher.

Every dish at Brøndums Hotel is a story about quality and tradition. We are proud to carry on the Danish culinary culture. Our entire supply chain focuses on local producers – from vegetables to meat. And we buy freshly caught fish from the local fishermen every day, directly from Skagen Harbour.

CLASSICAL COOKING AND NEW INTERPRETATIONS IN THE KITCHEN

The menu at Brøndums Hotel is rooted in Danish virtues with a focus on local ingredients and solid craftsmanship. The lunch is delicate and well prepared with classics such as “smørrebrød” on the menu, often with a modern twist. The evening dishes are more experimental with a focus on new trends and cooking methods. The menu changes several times a year to focus on seasonal ingredients.
However, you can always find our signature dishes on the menu - cooked exactly as it was in the time of the Brøndum family and the Skagen Painters. Our wine cellar is also just as impressive as it was back then - with more than 700 different bottles on the menu.
